GARA is open to everyone aged 50 years and over. GARA was originally meant for retired people but all are welcome to join. So if you’re reading this, you're welcome to come and join us, bring new ideas, make and meet friends. GARA aims to offer opportunities for people, retired or otherwise, to engage in a range of activities- including cultural pursuits, learning programmes, sporting activities and interesting outings and holidays, both at home and abroad. Covid unfortunately slowed down many things in our lives, but GARA is continuing to grow back numbers and activities. We contact members through email, text or Whatsapp. Notices are regularly placed on local noticeboards etc. Information is also printed in local newspapers.
