The Enniskerry Walking Association was formed in 2004 to protect traditional walking routes in the area and to promote walking for recreation, for health, as a safe alternative to car use and to help us all to learn more about our locality.
During spring and summer we usually meet every Tuesday at the Spar at 7pm and during autumn and winter every second Saturday at 1.30pm. No dogs allowed. All who are interested, adults or children, are most welcome.
Walks vary in length but most last between one and a half and two hours; some (but not all) involve a bit of climbing. Please wear appropriate warm and rain-proof clothing, and proper walking boots for the occasional muddy or rocky track. In the interest of walkers' comfort and safety, participants are asked to respect the directions of the walk leader and stay between the leader and anchor person.
Feel free just to turn up (sharp!) on any of the Tuesday or Saturday walks. If you want any further information e-mail: email@example.com. NB. This is a community activity organised by volunteers who accept no liability for injuries or loss caused to participants in any of the walks.
