Women's Aid

Women’s Aid is a national, feminist organisation working to prevent and address the impact of domestic violence and abuse including coercive control, in Ireland since 1974.

• Support, information and advocacy for women and their children who are being subject to domestic violence and abuse including coercive control.
• All services are free and confidential.
• 24 Hour National Freephone Helpline provides interpretation service in over 240 languages.
• 24 Hour National Freephone Helpline (1800 341 900) seven days a week. The helpline provides a non-directive support service and can refer a woman to our other services or to local services or refuge.
• Instant Message Support Service (IMSS), mornings and evenings, seven days a week. The IMSS is a free, confidential and secure way to talk to one of our Support Workers online.
• Dublin-based One-to-One Support Services provides more in-depth, face-to-face support and information to women subjected to domestic violence and abuse to allow her to consider her options, advise on how best to stay safe and offer legal information. Operated on an appointment only basis booked directly through the helpline (1800 341 900).
• Dublin-based Court Accompaniment Service where we meet with women before and after their case and support them during their time in court. The Domestic Abuse Information Support is a free and confidential drop-in information and support service in Dolphin House, Family Law Court, East Essex Street, Dublin 2, D02 RR76, for women experiencing domestic abuse.
• Dublin-based Maternity Outreach provides support, information and advocacy for women experiencing abuse and receiving maternity care.
• Accredited Training on responding to domestic violence through a range of specialist courses for workers, professionals, allies and informal supporters.
• Too Into You Campaign aims to teach young people about the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, the red flags of relationship abuse, and provide support at our dedicated website for young people toointoyou.ie.
