Foroige WAY Youth Diversion Project

Supports young people to make better life choices

The Foroige WAY Project is a Garda Youth Diversion Project based in Wicklow Town.

The project works with young people aged 12-17 years from Wicklow Town, Rathnew, Ashford and Glenealy.

The aim of the project is to help young people move away from behaving in a way that might get them or their friends into trouble with the law. Young people are referred to the project by the Juvenile Liaison Officer. They can also be referred by schools, other agencies and their parents. The projects offer opportunities for education, employment training, sport, art and other activities. The projects seek to encourage a better quality of life for everyone in the community and to support good relations between the Gardai and the community.
