Bray Cardiac First Responders

Cardiac First Responders

Bray Cardiac First Responders is a group of volunteers serving Bray, County Wicklow.

They provide an early response in the provision of primary life saving support to people who have called 999/112 and requested an ambulance.

They do not replace the HSE ambulance, but respond with them. The life-saving support involves the use of good quality CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and administration of Aspirin. Volunteers also get information and provide reassurance to patients and their families, while awaiting the arrival of the Emergency Ambulance.

Bray Cardiac First Responders also install and maintain Public Access Defibrillators in the Bray Area.

They provide training in life-saving for individuals and groups.
