The Bray Area Partnership Tús Work Placement Scheme provides short-term work opportunities for unemployed people in local community and voluntary organisations.
Most participants are referred by the Department of Employment & Social Protection / Intreo, but applications are also accepted directly from people who are unemployed and would like to take part in the scheme.
Participants benefit from gaining work experience and skills, and local community groups are able to provide enhanced services in the community with the support they receive from Tús staff.
For community and voluntary groups who want to apply to host a placement, the kind of work that is eligible under the scheme is:
- Environmental services
- Caring services
- General community services
- Heritage and cultural services
- Para-educational services
